This is a design flaw, but can be helped by adjust the mic and television volume. Just keep this in mind when considering purchasing this product, other than that, it is an awesome machine! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought my first karaoke machine 6yrs ago, it was a monster with a 13inch TV screen, and weighing in at about 50lbs. It did have a camera on it to record, but it did not have a USB port, and certainly not the ability to plug in an iphone, and was not even able to record an audio track of you, and when I bought this machine it was a top of the line machine, one of the best you could get. He needs help setting it up, puting the CD and scrolling down to the song. However, once it is playing, he loves singing along with the songs he knows. It's so great to see him doing what he loves again. The one surprise was how much my 2 and 6 yr olds loved singing. Two mics allow them to 'share' the machine and they sing and laugh and it's great! Esp when they sing with Grandpa! The machine held up well over the month that we all used it. Then it went home with Grandpa. I was surprisingly pleased with the selleciton of songs on the CD, for ALL ages. I will buy more CD's as well.
